Project seeks veterans who liberated camps
In South Carolina, a search for liberators

The Holocaust Archives Project of the Jewish Heritage Collection wants to interview World War II veterans who participated in the liberation of Nazi death camps and concentration camps.

Karen Tannenbaum, field researcher, said the project also is seeking photographs, documents and other relics related to the Holocaust for the collection at the College of Charleston Library.

“I’d be happy and eager and willing to talk to anyone who has any firsthand knowledge (of the Holocaust), or if their parents had firsthand knowledge,â€? Tannenbaum said.
