A photo documentary illuminating the history of Holocaust survivors in the years immediately following their liberation from the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp runs through Dec. 5 at the Jewish Community Center in Squirrel Hill.
The exhibit, “Rebirth After the Holocaust: The Bergen-Belsen Displaced Persons Camp, 1945-1950,” covers the period when more than 250,000 displaced and homeless Jewish survivors sought to regain their health and create new families in the camp, which became a self-governed community with political, religious and cultural activities.
