No one is more qualified to speak on the horrors of the Holocaust than someone who experienced it personally. Vera Schiff (nee Katz) witnessed the Nazi occupation of Prague, her native city, and later was interned with her entire family in Theresienstadt concentration camp. She survived three years of unrelenting misery and torture in the Theresienstadt concentration camp before it was liberated by the Russian army in May 1945. Schiff was 19 at the time.
