Holocaust victims remembered in Crimea

A ceremony was held to honor the Jewish victims of the Nazi occupation in Crimea.
Last year, Crimea, an autonomous republic inside Ukraine, introduced Dec. 11 as its official Holocaust memorial day.

Sunday´s ceremony, which included local officials, Jewish leaders and Holocaust survivors, was held on a highway outside of the Crimean capital of Simferopol, at the site where in December of 1941 Nazis killed more than 14,000 Jews.
