Exhibit: GHETTO DIARY OF ELI LESKEY
Watercolors painted in the Theresienstadt Camp. these secret works of art were hidden and retrieved after the war. Born in 1911, Eli Leskley painted 70 satiric watercolors while he was interned in Terezin. He hid them, retrieved them after the war and recreated each one. The images reflect life in Theresienstadt. The exhibition is organized and circulated by the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust.
