International expert on Holocaust speaks at UB on the lessons of genocide
Dr. John K. Roth, one of the nationâs leading authorities on the Holocaust, will speak on âWhy Learn About the Holocaust?â? on Wednesday, March 23, at the University of Bridgeport.
The talk, free and open to the public, will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Arnold Bernhard Center for the Arts and Humanities, Iranistan and University Avenues. The speech is sponsored by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museumâs Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies in Washington and the Sara Fine Rubenstein Memorial Fund, directed by Dr. Richard L. Rubenstein, at the University of Bridgeport. Rubenstein, president emeritus and distinguished professor of religion at UB, is also an authority on the Holocaust and a coauthor with Roth of the book âApproaches to Auschwitz: The Holocaust and Its Legacy.â? Rubenstein is program chairman for the evening.
