INDIANA VOTING ON MANDATORY HOLO. ED
HOLOCAUST IN THE CLASSROOM
Indiana high schools would have to teach about the Holocaust under a bill proposed in the House of Representatives.
Rep. Clyde Kersey, D-Terre Haute, is backing the proposal for the second straight year. The bill failed to receive a hearing last session, but Kersey is hopeful the House Education Committee will take it up in 2006.
Kersey said the bill was inspired by Eva Kor, a Holocaust survivor who runs the CANDLES Holocaust Museum in Terre Haute. more.

I was surprised to see that the USHMM has put Gerda Klein and Yehuda Bauer as representing the
Auschwitz survivors at the United Nation’s dedication as International Holocaust Observance Day. Mrs Gerda Klein
is not an Auschwitz survivor, and knows very little about Auschwitz,
and I believe that she never set
foot there. I declare to you that I, Eva Mozes Kor, whose name and
picture appear in Auschwitz, who repeatedly returns to Auschwitz with teachers so we could educate the world about Auschwitz. I should be the one representing the SURVIVORS, and Kerda Klein. I am appalled that you recomended
Dr. Yehuda Bauer to speak for us.
He acts like an expert on what happened in Auschwitz, he knows nothing about it. He is giving comfort to the revisionists by debating the number of people gassed in Auschwitz-this is a disgrace that he would be honored for his demeaning behaviour.
It should be me, Eva Mozes Kor,
and an other Auschwitz survivor who would speak at the United Nations. I am dismayed and appalled that you, the USHMM, has treated me, Eva Mozes Kor, with prejudice and revange…WHY?
You teach and advocate preventing prejudice but you do not practice it, what do you call that.
I am sad that you are prejediced against, and what a shame that you are doing it.
