March of the Living participants hold an emotional reunion

Jonty Hack’s life hasn’t been the same since he returned from a two-week pilgrimage touring Holocaust death camps.

“It’s a life changing trip. After the trip, you look at the world from a totally different perspective,” he said.

I’ve never seen true hate until I went to Berlin and saw the death camps,” said Hack, a senior at Donna Klein Jewish Academy. “I saw murder first-hand and the ashes of 70,000 people. You understand how humans can act and not care for anyone else. I didn’t think it was possible for people to kill so many people and hate like that.” MORE.
