Searches: Information from Rudy Herz for Hungarian Jews
I am aware that many readers are trying to find family members via your publication. Quite a few inquiries mention Hungarian localities and I may be able to narrow their search.
On my sojourn through the KZ’s I made a 6 mos. Stop at Lieberose Arbeitslager where some 2000-3000 Hungarian Jews were imprisoned. Some of them came through Auschwitz-Birkenau, others through Sachsenhausen. I do not know if a register had survived. One address would be:
ANDREAS WEIGEL – HISTORIAN
EVANGELISCHE KIRCHENGEMEINDE
AM MARKT
15868 LIEBROSE, GERMANY
A pamphlet about KZ Jamlitz-Lieberose has been put together by Mr. Weigel.
