Dolls tell the story of a Holocaust survivor

Be one of the first to view the work of doll maker Magda Watts and enjoy brunch at 11 a.m. Sunday at the opening reception of The Collection of Magda Watts at the Alper JCC, 11155 SW 112th Ave.

The Holocaust survivor will have more than 40 of her dolls on display depicting Eastern European life in different settings. Guests can watch a screening of Liberation of the Spirit, a documentary about Watts made by Miami producer Jennifer Resnick. The Sephardic singing group Voice of the Turtles will perform at 2 p.m.

Admission to the concert is $25 for preferred seating, $18 general admission; the brunch and film screening are $5. The collection is on display through April 30.
