What did the rest of the world know … and when did they know it?

It remains one of the more intriguing historical questions surrounding what the world has come to regard as the Holocaust — the Nazi’s genocidal campaign that killed 11 million Jews and other victims.

How did the news media of the day cover such towering historical events as Kristallnacht, the infamous and massive “Crystal Night” program in 1938 that targeted Jews across Germany and Austria? How did they cover the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, in which Jews united in armed resistance against the Nazis?
