Isaac Feinsilver remembered at funeral
Holocaust survivor was an inspiration to many

“Isaac was a treasure, a jewel and a delight. His memory will also be a blessing.â€?
Rabbi Neal Schuster

Isaac Feinsilver walked through death’s shadow 60 years ago, barely surviving years of horror in Nazi concentration camps that took his family.

But he never quit wanting to live.

So the words of Psalm 23 — “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for thou art with meâ€? — carried special gravity and inspiration during Friday’s funeral for the 92-year-old Holocaust survivor.

Feinsilver, of Kansas City, should be remembered for his zest for life and the way he always looked toward tomorrow, not yesterday, said Rabbi Neal Schuster.
