Hungary asks support for translating Holocaust survivor reports
Washington, March 4 (MTI) – Hungary has asked the American Jewish Committee (AJC) to help translate into English the digitised database www.degob.hu, which inlcudes reports of Hungarian Holocaust survivors.
The request was made by Hungarian State Secretary of Information Technology and Telecommunications Gyorgy Csepeli, who held talks with AJC Director of Foreign Affairs Andrew Baker in Washington on Friday.
The website available only in Hungarian contains over 3,500 protocols with the story and data of altogether 4838 survivors recorded back in 1945. MORE.
