Stories and history lessons of WWII usually end with the defeat of the Germans and the liberation of the concentration camps; Stanley Weintraub takes his lessons one step further.
â[Weintraub] has the ability to make a cataclysmic event, like the bombing of Pearl Harbor, accessible to the common reader,â? said professor Wes Leid of the WSU Honors College.
Weintraub, retired Professor Emeritus of Arts and Humanities at Penn State University, spoke Monday at WSU about the after effects of WWII and of the fall of Germany. This was one event out of a WSU week-long series dedicated to commemorate the Holocaust in âA Week of Remembrance.â?
