Payout at last for Kiwi Holocaust survivors
19 March 2006

Holocaust victims living in New Zealand have gained thousands of dollars in compensation for Nazi war crimes suffered more than 60 years ago.

More than 140 Kiwis have received payouts over the past three years from international compensation funds worth $NZ11.5 billion for slave and forced labour, and personal injuries and property loss suffered in World War II.

Many others failed to meet the funds’ criteria for compensation.
