The University of Utah is commemorating the millions of victims of the Holocaust this week with Days of Remembrance activities.
Tonight, a cultural performance of “An Evening with Madame F,” by pianist Claudia Stevens, tells the story of Auschwitz survivor Fania Fenelon. The performance will be at 7 p.m. at the I.J. & Jeanne Wagner Jewish Community Center, 2 N. Medical Drive.
On Wednesday, U. history professor Ronald Smelser will offer a workshop on the Holocaust from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Mark Green Auditorium of the U. Francis Madsen Building.
Wendy Lower, former director of the Visiting Scholars Program at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies, will deliver the keynote lecture at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the U. Social Work Auditorium.
