AMHERST – On April 25, 17-year-old Hannah R. Perlmutter, a senior at Amherst Regional High School, will meet Oprah Winfrey.

While it will be a thrill to meet the queen of daytime talk shows, it’s Winfrey’s guest whom Perlmutter really wants to meet. He’s the reason she is one of 50 high school students chosen by Winfrey to appear on the show. He’s Elie Wiesel, Holocaust survivor and author of “Night,” the book Perlmutter and 50,000 other teenagers wrote an essay on to win the chance to appear on the show.
