Holocaust council to honor Plotkin

Abe Plotkin, of Scranton, will be honored by the Pennsylvania Holocaust Education Council at its Regional Professional Development Workshop at the NEIU facility in Archbald on Monday. The association will place a Clara Isaacman Memorial Holocaust Trunk in a school of Mr. Plotkin’s choice, to honor his “personal history as a liberator in the American Army and as a witness to the atrocities of World War II, and in genuine gratitude for (his) work in Holocaust education over many years, both on (his) own initiative and on our behalf,â€? the council said.
