When Malden resident Frank Levine, first learned of Sevek Fishman’s dramatic World Ward II survival story in 1973, he had to meet the Holocaust survivor for himself. Levine, then in ninth grade, attended Malden High School with Fishman’s daughter and heard pieces of the story from her.

“Once I found out that there was a Holocaust survivor in Malden I made a point to meet him,” Levine said.
