Holocaust victims to be remembered

April 18, 2006

The public is invited to the observance of Holocaust Remembrance Day on Sunday at Mount Sinai Memorial Park in Simi Valley, officials said.

The event will be a commemoration of Yom Hashoah, which is a day to remember victims of the Nazi holocaust. It will be held near the park’s Grove of the Righteous Rescuers, which pays tribute to those who rescued Jews and others during World War II.

Sandy Lebman, a liberator of the Dachau concentration camp, and Bent Lerno, a Danish survivor of the Nazi holocaust, are among the scheduled speakers.

The commemoration will begin at 10 a.m. at the park, 6150 Mount Sinai Drive. For information or to reserve a place, call Lesley Rich at 1-800-600-0076, extension 407, or by e-mail at
