Holocaust survivor will speak at Fort Monroe

HAMPTON – A Nazi Holocaust survivor, who is the executive director and president of the Virginia Holocaust Museum in Richmond, will speak May 5 at the post theater at Fort Monroe in Hampton.

Jay Ipson will tell the story of his family’s survival during World War II and highlight Fort Monroe’s observance of the “National Day of Remembrance for Victims of the Holocaust.” Free and open to the public, the one-hour program begins at 1:30 p.m. A continuous slide presentation will be presented starting at 1 p.m.
