One by one, Rabbi Davorah Buchen read the names of Jewish men, women and children killed during the reign of terror that claimed the lives of nearly 11 million people.

One by one, Holocaust survivors stood before a curious, awestruck congregation to share their incredible stories of surviving torture, avoiding gas chambers and death marches from Auschwitz.

It was a chilling reminder of how Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany threatened to eradicate the Jews with ethnic cleansing.
