OTTAWA – An international organization focusing on the history of the Holocaust has stepped up efforts to catch suspected Nazi war criminals living in Canada. The Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center announced Tuesday that it will give rewards of up to $10,000 for tips leading to convictions of Nazi war criminals.

The strategy falls under a campaign known as Operation Last Chance, a program formerly in use only in countries where Nazi crimes were committed.
