Gov. Jeb Bush has signed legislation awarding $200,000 to Ruth Rales Jewish Family Service of South Palm Beach County for its Holocaust Survivors Assistance Program.
The legislation was spearheaded by state Sen. Ron Klein, D-Boca Raton, and state Rep. Irv Slosberg, D-Boca Raton, and supported by the Palm Beach County legislative delegation.
“We are thrilled that our elected officials join us in recognizing and supporting the increased need for in-home services for the frailest in our community, the survivors of the Holocaust,” said RRJFS Executive Director Dr. Jaclynn Faffer. “By doubling our funding from $100,000 to $200,000, we can enhance our services and enable more survivors to age in place with dignity.”

That money is just about enough for approximately 10 Holocaust survivors who need homecare 3 days a week. That’s all it’s worth. Not much money and certainly not enough for the Jewish community to fall on its knees to thank him…after all they are gonna run him for prez in 2008. A mere $200,000 is very little money with which to purchase an election. Take the money, but don’t sell the votes.
