FARMINGTON HILLS — Tolerance, compassion and righteousness. Those are the characteristics to be highlighted during the launch of the International Legion of the Righteous today at the Holocaust Memorial Center.

About 40 students from Berkley High School and Lawrence Technological University will be inaugurated into the legion, whose task is to instill goodness and goodwill, regardless of religious preference. It was created to help spread compassion during troubled times. The students will be participating in intensive preparation at the Holocaust Memorial Center, 28123 Orchard Lake Road, and their respective schools.
