Holocaust survivor to address group

CLEVELAND Artist, sculptor and Holocaust survivor Alfred Tibor will speak at “Celebration of Life: Humanity, Hope and Survival” at the Greater Cleveland chapter of Hadassah’s annual opening meeting at 7 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Beechmont Country Club.

Tibor was born in Hungary in 1920 and, after an unsuccessful attempt to come to the United States, was drafted into the German labor battalion. He was later captured and spent two-and-a-half years as a prisoner of war in Siberia. Tibor was one of two men who survived.
