I wonder if there are still people (or some descendents) out there who perhaps came from Karlsruhe or vicinity… Several years ago I received a letter from the Dachau Museum Administration which included an excerpt from my original prisoner registration with my number. They told me that they could not provide me with further details about my confinement, since most of the camp documents were destroyed by the SS prior to the arrival of the liberating allied forces.

I do recall that I was in barracks Nr. 1212, my room elder’s name was Franzl, and my block elder was Sass. Both were non-Jewish political prisoners.
