After writing hundreds of letters, Indiana high school student meets Holocaust survivors in South Florida

Once you meet him there’s little doubt left in your mind that had he been alive at the time, Brian Coleman—a high school senior from a small town near South Bend, IN—would have been among those non-Jews trying to save Jews during the Holocaust. At his own expense, this studious, articulate 18-year-old, accompanied by grandfather, Leroy Ross, recently visited South Florida to meet survivors to whom he’s written letters, along with others belonging to the Child Survivors of the Holocaust South Florida Group.
