Wanda Wolosky was only 5 years old when World War II broke out in Europe. As a Jewish girl living with her family in the Warsaw Ghetto in Poland, she saw the horrors of the Holocaust firsthand.

Wolosky made it out, escaped, and has built a life for herself in Tucson. This week, she and other Holocaust survivors representing the Jewish Family and Children’s Service Center of Southern Arizona in Tucson came to Yuma. They spoke at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Yuma Proving Ground and local schools.

Their message, Wolosky said, is that the Holocaust should never be forgotten.
