HOBE SOUND — The students in Portable 2 learned about hate last week.
And as 80-year-old Lisl Bogart spoke before the fifth-grade gifted class about how she survived the Holocaust, the SeaWind Elementary students learned that a slice of bread can stand for freedom.
Bogart, of Delray Beach, was a guest speaker in Karen Clark’s class Thursday, which was also the 68th anniversary of the day Germany invaded Czechoslovakia.
“I was growing up just like all of you. I had a wonderful life,” Bogart said, noting her family included 43 people
