VERNON — Recently, students at Vernon Township High School had the opportunity to learn about the Holocaust first-hand, from two survivors who came to speak about their experiences. Joe and Magda Ungerleider, who have visited numerous schools over the years, captivated their listeners when telling about what they had endured.

During his talk, Mr. Ungerleider took the opportunity to remind the children how important it is for them to show respect for others if they expect others to show respect for them.

He also told them, “You must love and respect yourself and never allow anyone to bully you or force you to do something you know is wrong.
