ORANGE — When Sherman Jacobson of Orange went two years ago to see Rabbi Brad Hirschfield at the National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership, (CLAL) he was on a mission.

A regular synagogue-goer, Jacobson, 81, said that he had felt that something was missing from the weekly Shabbat service n more mention of the Holocaust.

“I go to synagogue pretty regularly, and I felt that somehow there wasn’t enough education going on about the Holocaust in the normal Saturday service,” explained Jacobson, who was born and raised in the U.S, and is not a survivor of the Holocaust.
