2GS IN TEANECK APRIL 19 “Is God Dead?” Issues of Faith and Religion In Survivor Families
Hi everyone,
I hope you had a meaningful, joyous Pesach, and that you are enjoying lots of chametz!
Just a reminder that our Second Generation Group will be meeting next Thursday, April 19, at 7pm, at JFS of Bergen County, 1485 Teaneck. Rd.
The topic will be
“Is God Dead?” Issues of Faith and Religion In Survivor Families
Can we reconcile faith in God with the horrors of the Shoah? How has growing up in a survivor family shaped my faith and my Jewish identity?
We will explore these and related questions with Rabbi Shlomo Wohlberg, Esq. Rabbi Wohlberg, of Bergenfield, NJ, is himself a child of survivors and has been an active member of our group. He was ordained by Yeshiva Emek Halacha in Brooklyn, and received his JD from Brooklyn Law School.
For questions and to RSVP, please respond to this e-mail, or call (201) 837-9090 or e-mail thelivingroom@jfsbergen.org.
Feel free to pass this along to others.
Looking forward to seeing you next week.
B’shalom, in peace,
Amy
