A murdered man’s cap saved Mayer Schondorf from freezing to death 62 years ago, and last night he took his hat off to that anonymous man and millions of other Holocaust victims.

Schondorf, 77, was one of about 2,500 people who ventured out into a spring snowstorm for Yom Hashoah, or the annual Holocaust Remembrance Day, at Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Congregation in Cote St. Luc.
