Federation’s new committee to advocate for survivors

Holocaust survivors are calling it a “full and complete commitment” by the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland to ensure services are delivered to needy victims of Nazi persecution.

This weekend at Zion Memorial Park, at the annual remembrance service for the six million Jews killed in the Holocaust, Bennett Yanowitz announced the formation of a new Federation entity: the Holocaust Survivor Advisory Committee.

The 20-member committee has representatives from the survivor community, Jewish Family Service Association of Cleveland (JFSA), Federation and the community-at-large. The first meeting was Wed., Sept. 19.
