Holocaust survivor shared story

Leo Bretholz made a choice more than six decades ago to jump from a cattle car headed to the Auschwitz Nazi concentration camp during World War II.
Bretholz said he continues to have the luxury of choice, especially when it comes to telling his story.
“I can say, ‘Yes, I want to talk,’ or ‘No, I do not want to talk,’” he said. “My mother and sisters had no choice. I do this for them and all those whose voices have been silenced.”
Although he was able to escape from Austria during World War II, Bretholz said his mother and sisters were murdered in the Holocaust.
