A pair of second-generation Holocaust survivors will bring history to life at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 10 in Elk River.

Mort Naiman, a Brussels, Belgium native who was smuggled into a displaced persons camp in Germany before coming to America on a U.S. military troop ship, will share the stories of his parents and in-laws at the event.

The two families made it to America via drastically different routes, but both were survivors of the Holocaust.

His parents survived concentration camps, while his in-laws made it by passing themselves off as non-Jews.
