Interfaith group to visit Holocaust museum

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A trip to the U.S. Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C., is being planned by the Staten Island Building Bridges Coalition.

A bus will leave at 8 a.m. Nov. 11 from Congregation B’nai Jeshurun, 275 Martling Ave., West Brighton. A light breakfast will be provided. The bus will return at approximately 11 p.m. to B’nai Jeshurun.

The Building Bridges Coalition is an interfaith group of clergy and lay people dedicated to increasing tolerance and understanding on Staten Island by bringing together people of all religions and ethnicities.

The group has sponsored forums on genocide and violence and recently sponsored an event that took participants from a synagogue to a church and finally to a mosque.
