The Company for Restitution of Holocaust Victims’ Assets, which helps identify assets stolen from Jews by the Nazis during World War II published a list Monday of 55,000 holders of shares in the Jewish Colonial Trust (JCT) who perished during the war.

Relatives of Jews who died in the Holocaust can turn to the company via its Web site at www.hashava.org.il, to check if the company is holding money owed to them.

The company will keep the assets on the list for a period of twelve months, after which any unclaimed money will be distributed between needy survivors still alive.

The funds on the list constitute the largest sum tracked by the company. The overall value of the shares is estimated at NIS 200 million, approximately NIS 6,000 per heir.
