Second Generation: Children of Holocaust Survivors, a monthly seminar and discussion group
sponsored by The Living Room at Jewish Family Service of Bergen County, will meet Thursday, December 20, 2007, 7 pm to 8:30 pm, at Jewish Family Service of Bergen County, 1485 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ.
This month’s topic: Relationships in Survivor Families. How has the Holocaust experience shaped relationships in survivor families? This is an opportunity to discuss issues including parent-child ties, sibling conflict, coping with anxiety, and how to end the cycle of transmission of trauma. Rabbi Amy Bolton, director of The Living Room at Jewish Family Service of Bergen County will facilitate the discussion. Free of charge, advance registration preferred. To register, please call Laura at 201-837-9090 or send us an e-mail at thelivingroom@jfsbergen.org.
For those of you who attended last month’s group with Dr. Irit Felsen, this will be an opportunity to discuss in more depth some of the issues she raised. Even if you did not attend, please join us! I will summarize her presentation and the issues she put forth, and I hope to have an engaging discussion.
Feel free to pass along this information to others!
Also, I thought some of you might be interested in the new book mentioned in the e-mail below.
Have a
Happy Chanukah!
