Mathilde Middleberg, a Holocaust survivor who spoke to children about her experiences on behalf of the Goodwin Holocaust Museum and Education Center, died on May 25. Mrs. Middleberg (nee Talvy), of Cherry Hill, survived the Holocaust as a “hidden child” in France. Her husband, Charles Middleberg, was also a hidden child. The couple lived in Philadelphia prior to moving to Cherry Hill in 1988. Over the years, she spoke to hundreds of children about the Holocaust.

Mrs. Middleberg is survived by her husband, Charles Middleberg; and her children, Maurice (Fran) Middleberg, Brenda (Alan) Pollack, Lynne (Diego) Warszawski and David (Sandra) Middleberg. She is the aunt of Maryse Klass and the sister of Suzanne Talvy, Leon Talvy, Michel Talvy and Raymonde Rebecca Talvy. Grandmother of 12. Great-aunt of one and great-great-aunt of one.
