The Center of Organizations of Holocaust Survivors in Israel (COHSI) on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Interior Minister Eli Yishai not to allow the deportation of 1,200 children of migrants.

“These are children who only know our country, speak our language, dream in Hebrew and aspire to be a part of building Israel,” said acting COHSI chairman Ze’ev Factor in a statement. “We must not allow a child who grew up here to be expelled from the country he was born in, just because of his roots. It’s a lesson etched on our flesh.”
