Two more Houstonians have been appointed to the newly created Texas Holocaust and Genocide Commission.
Last week, Texas Gov. Rick Perry selected Polish Holocaust survivor Dr. Anna Steinberger and second-generation survivor Martin Fein to serve on the inaugural commission, pursuant to Senate Bill 482 passed by the 81st Legislature.

Earlier in the month, the governor named Houstonian Peter Berkowitz chair of the commission. Berkowitz, Steinberger and Fein each are active leaders with Holocaust Museum Houston, and helped work toward the commission
