A relative of Adolf Hitler’s second-in-command has told a documentary crew she had herself sterilized in order not to “pass on the blood of a monster”.
Bettina Goering, great-niece of Hitler’s right hand man Hermann Goering decided against having children after being horrified at how much she looked like her great-uncle, the Daily Mail reported.
Both she and her brother made the decision to end their bloodline, she said in a new documentary by Israeli filmmaker Chanoch Zeevi.
“I had my tubes tied at the age of 30 because I feared I would create another monster,” she said.
