Minister Edelstein to draft bill for compensating Holocaust survivors
Israel’s cabinet charged Minister Yuli Edelstein with the task of drafting a bill that will arrange the compensation granted to Holocaust survivors. In addition, an inter-ministerial taskforce will be established to fight anti-Semitism in other countries.
During the discussion that focused on International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the fight against anti-Semitism, the prime minister took note of Minister Silvan Shalom’s actions when he served as foreign minister that prompted the UN resolution to mark Holocaust Remember Day. (Roni Sofer)
