Chairman Uri Maklev of the Knesset Committee on Public Petitions submitted a bill to the Knesset Monday which would put a supplemental benefit of 600 shekels to 2,300 Holocaust survivors in their bank accounts, instead of crediting a special credit card. In recent months the committee received a number of comments that the use of the card is cumbersome, preventing the survivors from using them. Some of them even turned the cards over to family members.
