Munich – An alleged Nazi concentration camp guard, identified as Alex N, could soon face prosecution over accusations that he shot Jewish prisoners, German media reported Saturday.Alex N, who was born 1917 in Ukraine, is accused of having worked in the Treblinka I forced labour camp, in modern-day Poland, Spiegel news magazine wrote in an article to be published Monday.Germany’s national war crimes prosecutor in Ludwigsburg has concluded investigations into the suspected guard, who acquired German citizenship in 1991, the magazine wrote.His case has reportedly been handed to prosecutors in Munich, where alleged camp guard John Demjanjuk is currently on trial. Another man, Samuel Kunz, was also charged in Germany last month for his suspected role in the murder of 430,000 Jews at a Nazi death camp.Other former guards, interrogated in the former Soviet Union, reportedly said Alex N had gloated with claims that he shot Jews.
