Germany’s Bundesbank will hold a special board meeting on Monday to discuss the future of one of its board members after controversial comments about Jews and immigrants, a Bundesbank official said on Monday. German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Sunday the Bundesbank would have to examine whether Thilo Sarrazin could remain in his post and other political leaders said he was out of line for his comments about Jews, which were also criticised by Jewish leaders in the country responsible for the Holocaust.
