ATLANTIC CITY–The Atlantic City Boardwalk Holocaust Memorial is one step closer to becoming a reality. In a ceremony on Tuesday, a permanent sign was unveiled at the site of the future holocaust memorial at the present Nadine Boggs Carpenter Pavilion located between New York and Kentucky Avenues in Atlantic City.The design for the memorial titled “Fractured Landscape” was chosen out of hundreds of submissions from 55 different countries, “This is a very special day because it is the first concrete step on a long journey that we’ve had a number of years, first to obtain this site and then to bring together the community in terms of professionals, designers builders and to finance this noble enterprise,” said Rabbi Gordon Geller.
