Harlow, UK – A NEW plaque honoring the victims of Nazi persecution will be ready in time for this month’s Holocaust Memorial Day – a month after callous crooks stole the town’s original bronze memorial. The granite slab will be fitted in the same spot where the 18-square-inch plaque was pried out of its metal setting in the Holocaust Memorial Garden. The stone – which has been commissioned by Harlow Council – will carry the words of the original plaque, with the addition of the Hebrew word for “Remember”. The thieves have yet to be found by police.
